Guten Tag! Teresa & James’s story started sophomore year of college at the University of Michigan. Teresa walked into her German class and saw James. She thought he was cute so she sat down next to him. James, however, didn’t look up from his phone. After a few minutes, he finally realized someone was now sitting by him & introduced himself. They realized they had another class together that semester and eventually became study buddies and spent countless hours together. That led to falling in love and dating throughout college. After they graduated, James proposed in front of the residence on campus that Teresa lived in, the same one where they had their first kiss and first said I love you at! They are getting married this July at the Inn at St. John’s and I can’t wait to get them in front of my camera again!!
Teresa & James were in town from San Fransisco last week for their engagement session and what better place to pick for their session that the place where their love story began at the University of Michigan!! We started on North Campus where they spent the majority of their time together in engineering classes and finished up on Central Campus. I had so much fun with them wandering around Michigan’s campus and reminiscing on our time spent in Ann Arbor! Fun fact: I also took two years of German while at Michigan and it’s always fun comparing classes, dorms, favorite restaurants/bars and how much campus has changed with other alums! Despite an iffy weather forecast, the rain thankfully held off until right when we were wrapping up their session! I’m so obsessed with how the photos turned out & I think the final few are some of my faves that look like they could be editorial spreads in a magazine!
