It’s not often that you get a couple in front of your camera for their engagement session that you have previously photographed!! Sharon was a bridesmaid & David was a groomsmen in Kiley & Daniel’s Detroit wedding this past fall, which was one of my favorites from 2018! They were recently engaged and I was so excited when about a month after that wedding, Sharon reached out to me about photographing her wedding! She asked what days I had left in 2019 & booked her wedding date around my schedule, which is always such an incredible honor when couples do that in order to have me capture their day! Sharon & David first met through mutual friends and when David proposed to Sharon this past summer, he had their entire super close friend group there to witness it all!! He got down on one kneeĀ outside of the Skip at the Belt in Detroit and of course we had to end their engagement session there getting a few photos of them in the place where their promise of forever began! Townhouse, which is one of my favorite places in Detroit ambience wise, and the Detroit Institute of Arts served as the backdrop for their engagement photos and I’m just obsessed with how their photos turned out! I know I say this all the time, but I feel like I get just as excited as my couples do seeing their photographs after the session! These two are so fun to be around and I had a blast hanging out with them and chatting during their session! Sharon actually knows 2 of my past brides and we figured out David and I grew up super close to one another and even knew some of the same people! These two are getting married in September at the Inn at St. John’s & the Meeting House Grand Ballroom and I can’t wait for it! It’s going to be such a fun (and beautiful) day!
