Lani & Jason were married late last month in an intimate wedding ceremony surrounded by their immediate family. They were originally supposed to throw one heck of a party at the Shinola Hotel following a ceremony in their conservatoryesque Birdy Room, but COVID forced them to pivot and change venues in order to still get married on their original wedding date. Even though it wasn’t what they originally imagined, the day was absolutely perfect and focused on the most important thing: the two of them & their love as they became husband & wife!
Lani was still able to get ready at the Shinola Hotel in one of their beautiful guest rooms & we were able to still do their first look in Parker’s Alley behind the hotel & the rest of their portraits around the hotel grounds. Lani’s mom zipped her into her sleek & sophisticated Anne Barge gown (still not over the beautiful shape of her dress!!) before her Maid of Honor pinned her stunning lace edged cathedral length veil on her head. After some bridal portraits, Lani walked out to a waiting Jason to see her groom for the first time that day! One of my favorite parts of their first look was Jason’s son running up to them to get in on the action & admire Lani’s dress! He is the most adorable thing ever & it was so cute to see how much love their family of 3 has for each other!
After portraits we headed over to Temple Israel to sign the Ketubah and get these two officially married! They were married in the lush gardens of the Temple and a beautiful floral filled tented reception followed on their grounds! The sun set on a perfect wedding day as Lani & Jason shared their first dance as husband and wife & were toasted by their loved ones. After a delicious dinner & first dances, Lani & Jason made their exit through a tunnel of sparklers into the night as Mr. & Mrs.!
Lani & Jason, I hope you two love and cherish these photos! From your epicĀ Chicago engagement session on Lake Michigan in December to your beautiful wedding day this past July, it has been an absolute pleasure to get to know you both! Wishing you both a lifetime of love & happiness! Much love, Jen. xx
