Chris brought Laura up to the rooftop deck of the Detroit Opera House last Friday night, telling her that they were meeting up with some of his friends for the night. After grabbing a drink at the bar, they settled into some chairs near the railing of the deck to enjoy the gorgeous Detroit summer evening. The plan was for me to pretend to work for the Opera House and go up to them asking if I could take their photo. I hung out across the patio from them until I saw Laura taking a selfie of them on her phone. I went over and asked if I could take their photo, and after posing for a photo, Chris got down on one knee with the stunning Detroit skyline behind them and asked Laura to marry him! I love the look on her face in the photos when she realized what was happening! The Opera House staff brought out a bottle of champagne for them to celebrate with and after a toast, we took a few more photos on the roof to celebrate their engagement!
