Most days you'll find me sitting at my kitchen counter, clad in a mix of J.Crew and Zara (in neutral colors, of course), pouring my heart into this business of mine while dancing along to my latest Spotify playlist and sipping on a cup of hot tea. I'm an award-winning, published wedding photographer that is obsessed with all things classic and elegant. I'm a former California girl, but a true Midwesterner at heart. I love warm hugs, live music and getting texts from my brides that they cried when they saw their wedding photos!! I live for mornings on my yoga mat and green juice after. Among friends, I'm known for never missing an episode of The Bachelor on Monday nights, overusing exclamation points, and disliking coffee (but loving coffee shops)!
CLASSIC PHOTOGRAPHY FOR THE NATURALLY ELEGANT BRIDE
It was a beautiful Fall day this past Saturday as Jenna and Adam exchanged vows inside the lovely Grosse Ile Presbyterian Church with it’s cobble stone floors and beautiful natural light. Afterwards, we stopped by Elizabeth Park for some photos by the water and on their iconic bridge before finding some gorgeous fall colors outside of Stone Creek where the reception was held.
It was a beautiful day in Washington, D.C. when I met up with Erin and Scott to take their one year wedding anniversary photos. After scouting some DC locations, I fell in love with the C&O Canal in Georgetown and we decided to take the photos there at sunset!
Sam and Peter’s Yards Park engagement session was an absolute dream! When Sam and I were brainstorming locations for their Washington, D.C. engagement photos, she mentioned this park and it was perfect! I loved the architecture of the bridge, the greenery and the waterfront.
Mary & James were married this past May on a beautiful Spring day. The rain was threatening to break through the clouds, but in the end, the rain held of and not a drop fell! After a beautiful ceremony under a floral arch, we headed over to Curwood Castle to take photos.
Katy and Joe said I do on a beautiful day in April. Their wedding ceremony took place at Antioch Lutheran Church in Farmington Hills and then the party headed over to Bay Pointe Golf Club for the reception. Katy and her girls wore the cutest floral robes while sipping mimosas and getting ready and I just love how the guys all wore bow ties with their tuxes!
Earlier this Summer I met up with Kristel & Zakary on the University of Michigan’s campus (My alma mater! Go Blue!) for a couples photography session. Kristel’s boyfriend, Zakary, is in the military and he was home on leave for a few days and she wanted some photos taken of the two of them.
