Most days you'll find me sitting at my kitchen counter, clad in a mix of J.Crew and Zara (in neutral colors, of course), pouring my heart into this business of mine while dancing along to my latest Spotify playlist and sipping on a cup of hot tea. I'm an award-winning, published wedding photographer that is obsessed with all things classic and elegant. I'm a former California girl, but a true Midwesterner at heart. I love warm hugs, live music and getting texts from my brides that they cried when they saw their wedding photos!! I live for mornings on my yoga mat and green juice after. Among friends, I'm known for never missing an episode of The Bachelor on Monday nights, overusing exclamation points, and disliking coffee (but loving coffee shops)!

Nicolle + Owen were my first engagement session out of my 2018 couples and man oh man it is getting me excited for 2018! My calendar is already booking up for next year (if you are an April or June 2018 bride, inquire quickly because those Saturdays are filling up so fast) and I cannot wait to get a few more couples in front of my camera next week for their engagement sessions!!
Happy Monday friends! Zach and Kelly braved the cold Detroit temperatures we had in February for their Detroit Institute of Arts engagement session. Despite the fact that this was the one 30 degree day in a week of 60 degree days, they didn’t complain once about the cold and cuddled together between shots to keep warm.
On Tuesday night, I had the chance to photograph the Bridal Open House for one of my favorite wedding cake bakeries, Love & Buttercream, based out of Royal Oak and Birmingham. If you haven’t heard of them before, go check out their cakes!
During the wedding down season, one of my favorite things to photograph (because let’s be honest, I’ll go crazy not using my camera for months waiting for wedding season to kick up again) is newborn and family lifestyle sessions! If you aren’t familiar with lifestyle sessions, they are sessions done in your own home and involve capturing life with your family!

I love photographing couples who are crazy in love with each other! As soon as I met Maddie and Nick, it was obvious just how much love these two shared! Maddie was such a doll and Nick had her giggling the entire time.
