Most days you'll find me sitting at my kitchen counter, clad in a mix of J.Crew and Zara (in neutral colors, of course), pouring my heart into this business of mine while dancing along to my latest Spotify playlist and sipping on a cup of hot tea. I'm an award-winning, published wedding photographer that is obsessed with all things classic and elegant. I'm a former California girl, but a true Midwesterner at heart. I love warm hugs, live music and getting texts from my brides that they cried when they saw their wedding photos!! I live for mornings on my yoga mat and green juice after. Among friends, I'm known for never missing an episode of The Bachelor on Monday nights, overusing exclamation points, and disliking coffee (but loving coffee shops)!

Chris brought Laura up to the rooftop deck of the Detroit Opera House last Friday night, telling her that they were meeting up with some of his friends for the night. After grabbing a drink at the bar, they settled into some chairs near the railing of the deck to enjoy the gorgeous Detroit summer evening.
I’m so excited to share Melissa & Mike’s engagement session on the blog today! I met up with these two last week in Downtown Detroit on Belle Isle to capture this exciting time in their lives! After some photos at the Belle Isle Casino with their two puppies, we walked over to the James Scott Memorial Fountain and finished up their session as the sun was setting.
Courtney’s grandma had met Joe and hit it off with him. She just knew that he would be perfect for Courtney. Everytime she saw Courtney she would bring up Joe and ask when Courtney was going to go out with him.
Katie & Nate met in high school. Katie had her eye on Nate, and from the moment she got his number and they started talking, she was smitten! From high school, college at Central Michigan and moving to Arizona, the one thing that remained constant was each other!
The forecast said it was only supposed to be cloudy, but as I was driving to meet up with Katlyn & Jake for their engagement session, it started to sprinkle. Despite the change of weather, they decided to brave the rain and continue on with their planned engagement session!
Lindsey & Rob met during welcome week at Western Michigan University when Rob was on the move in crew and helped move Lindsey into her dorm. Rob caught Lindsey’s eye and eventually they started dating. They went on vacation last August and Rob proposed to Lindsey on a hike with friends.
