On a chilly December afternoon, Ashleigh & Bill said I do surrounded by just their nearest & dearest in the stunning multi-story chapel at their Detroit Masonic Temple wedding. Covid forced them to cut their guests list down and then their reception portion of the day had to be cancelled just a few days before the wedding due to changing guidelines, but love prevailed & Ashleigh & Bill still had the most stunning day in the city. The bride wore a timeless dress from The Wedding Shoppe with modern touches: a deep illusion neckline v and a removable train of lace appliqué flowers woven into the different layers while the groom donned a custom Oliver Wicks tux. Massive amounts of white roses adorned Ashleigh & her bridesmaids’ bouquets from Viviano Flower Shop and they popped against the sleek black bridesmaids dresses… the perfect chic and elegant winter wedding color combo! Despite the scaled back wedding day, Ashleigh & Bill’s Best Men & Maid of Honor still toasted them with champagne after the ceremony & the two of them snuck away from their guests to the beautiful soft pink and gold ballroom where their reception would have been held to share a private first dance before we were escorted up to the roof for twilight photos with the city lights sparkling in the evening glow behind them. But my favorite part of the day, seeing Ashleigh & Bill exit to the cheers of love, excitement and well wishes from their immediate family & bridal party while confetti flew in the air. The most picture perfect moment to commemorate a picture perfect day.
