Kim & Steve had their first date in downtown Northville, got engaged in downtown Northville & when their Lovett Hall wedding was postponed earlier this year to 2021, it only made sense for them when they decided to still get married this year & pivot their plans to have their intimate wedding in downtown Northville as well! After all, it was the place where their love story began! The morning started at Kim’s, where after sipping on mimosas, her mom zipped her into her beautiful lace dress. Brandi from Lee Floral Design did the florals and I’m obsessed with Kim’s bridal portraits with her stunning bouquet!! The morning of the wedding it was literally down pouring so badly! Like buckets & buckets of rain! But magically, as soon as it was time for us to take portraits, the skies cleared and the rain went away!! It was amazing!! Main Street in Downtown Northville is completely closed to traffic right now so their establishments can have socially distanced outdoor dining, and it was so great being able to take all of the portraits in the street near the beautiful florals and landmark Northville clock without having to constantly move & watch for traffic!! This wedding was a unique one for me because not only was I Kim’s photographer, but I was one of her bridesmaids too!! Special thanks to Kim’s new sister-in-law Nicole, who was one of my 2019 brides, for taking the bridesmaids portraits & wedding party portrait for us!! She rocked the “place the dot on the eye & press this button then this button” tutorial I gave her!! ;)
Kim & Steve, you guys had such a beautiful day & I cannot wait for round two in May!! Thank you for trusting me to document your day and give you these memories in photographic form to cherish for the years to come!! Hope you’re enjoying your honeymoon!! Much love, Jen. xx
