Happy Monday!! So excited to share Fiona & Carl’s wedding on the blog today!! I think I got the most DM replies to a story ever when I shared a sneak peek on my Instagram the night of their wedding that showed their beautiful tented reception! Even though the day ended up not being the Royal Park Hotel wedding that they were planning, I think Plan B turned out just perfect for them!! I mean, just look at the tent & all of the hanging floral installations!!! Total emoji heart eyes!
The morning started with lots of excitement as Fiona & her bridesmaids got ready! Fiona’s mom helped her into her dress & then her maid & matron of honor took over lacing her into the dress before she did a sweet first look with her dad & then one with all her bridesmaids!!! I just LOVE the reaction photos of the girls seeing Fiona as a bride for the first time!! Bridesmaids always have the best reactions!
At the church, Fiona’s dad walked her down the aisle to Carl who had the biggest smile on his face! They had a beautiful ceremony and after exchanging rings & sealing their union with a kiss, they walked back down the aisle ready to get the party started!! Their guests gathered under the tent for toasts & their first dance on their custom monogrammed dance floor followed by dinner then their 2 piece band created the most beautiful musical ambience for the rest of the evening!
Fiona & Carl, thank you so much for trusting me to photograph your wedding! It was such a perfect day and I’m so happy I was a part of it! From your beautiful Detroit Institute of Arts engagement session last year to your wedding day, it’s been a pleasure getting to know you both!! Hope you love & cherish these photos forever!!
