Coco Chanel once said, “Simplicity is the keynote of all true elegance,” and I don’t think anything could describe Jacqueline and Eric’s wedding day better if it tried! Jacqueline is the definition of classic elegance and from the moment I walked into her beautiful getting ready suite at the historic Pine Knob mansion, with all of it’s big windows and natural light, and laid my eyes on her timeless Maggie Sottero dress that looked like something straight out of Audrey Hepburn’s closet, I knew this was going to be one incredible day!
Jacqueline put so much thought and attention into all of her details and even designed her own wedding shoes with a designer after she couldn’t find the perfect heels with bows on them like she was dreaming of wearing down the aisle! Talk about talent and vision! The fur stole she wore to keep warm on the chilly November day was a family heirloom and she had her grandma and mom on help her into her off the shoulder ballgown.
Sage Green Events did all of the bouquets and florals for the day and did such an incredible job mixing in pops of fall colors with white florals and greenery to keep the bouquets light and airy!
Jacqueline & Eric had their first look before the ceremony on the beautiful back patio of the historic mansion and it was one of the most beautiful backdrops for photos, with it’s spiral wrought iron staircase, white stone exterior and bistro lights hanging overhead. Once we wrapped up photos, it was time for the ceremony to begin. Jacqueline and Eric had an intimate ceremony in the mansion, surrounded by around 100 of their closest family & friends. After I do’s were exchanged, toasts were given and the cake was cut, these two shared a romantic first dance that was the perfect culmination to a perfect day.
Jacqueline & Eric, thank you for choosing me to capture all of the moments, big & small, on your wedding day. It’s a responsibility I don’t take lightly, and I’m so honored to have been able to give you these photographs to look back at for decades to come. I couldn’t have picked a better couple to end my 2017 season with! Much love, Jen. xx.
