Is there anything better in the Summer than a country music festival? After going to Tortuga Music Festival last April on the beach in Fort Lauderdale, FL with my friend Maria, I was dying to get to Faster Horses Festival out at MIS in Brooklyn. Last year I had weddings all weekend during it but this year the stars aligned and I actually had a Saturday off in July (!!!!) that fell over that weekend and I was so excited to photograph the festivities! I missed Sam Hunt perform on Friday night, but Jason Aldean closed it down on Saturday night and absolutely killed it! I got to watch his set from the side of the stage after I photographed his first few songs and that was by far my favorite part of the night! I also photographed David Nail (who is AMAZING live), Travis Tritt and Gary Allan (who came out on fire singing Watching Airplanes). Faster Horses had such a cool vibe in the crowd and I thoroughly enjoyed stepping out from the media tent backstage to people watch in between sets. So so so entertaining! I also got to meet a few of Saturday’s performers – Lindsay Ell (who made me be in her snapchat story!!), David Nail and Jason Aldean – and they were all so gracious and kind! It was such a fun day and it made the hour and a half drive home and the 5:30 AM wakeup call the next day for Sunday’s wedding all worth it! I absolutely love live music and I absolutely love photography and it seriously makes my heart so happy that I get opportunities like this to combine the two! See more over on my Instagram!
