Make yourselves a cup of hot cocoa or hot tea (my personal fav) and settle in because I have a sweet love story to share with you all tonight (along with some gorgeous photos of course)! Jessica and Weston met in third grade and have known each other practically their whole lives. Their friendship began to grow during Jessica’s senior year of high school. The more these two got to know one another, the more that friendship started to turn into something more. About a year after Jessica graduated high school, her and Weston began dating. Weston asked Jessica to go to the movies for their first date. She said yes and never looked back. Weston proposed to her at the Cleveland Botanical Gardens and these two were married last month at Fairchild Chapel on the beautiful grounds of Oberlin College, just southwest of Cleveland. Like any true love story, their wedding was nothing short of amazing! From the moment I arrived in Ohio, there was so much excitement in the air as the girls were finishing up hair and makeup. Once it was time to get the dress on, Jessica’s sister helped her get into it. They were so adorable together as she was getting Jessica ready for her big day! Jessica’s veil was so pretty (she actually wore two different ones) and her veil pictures (which you can’t miss) are some of my new faves! From there, I headed over to the chapel where the guys were getting ready. Weston got his groomsmen these awesome wine colored bow ties to match his wine colored tie and they were all in different patterns. They were some of the coolest bow ties I’ve ever seen! Weston and Jessica’s family and friends packed the Fairchild Chapel for a wedding ceremony that was filled with so much love. Afterwards, we headed to the stunning arch lined walkway leading away from the chapel for photos. It seriously felt like we were at some gorgeous castle in Europe taking their bride and groom portraits! From there, we ventured around Downtown Oberlin a bit taking some more photos and even found the cutest swing hanging from a tree branch, and then headed over to the reception. The party got started after dinner where the dance floor was literally packed all night! Jessica and Weston, thank you for allowing me to capture your wedding! I hope you love your photos! xx, Jen
Most days you'll find me sitting at my kitchen counter, clad in a mix of J.Crew and Zara (in neutral colors, of course), pouring my heart into this business of mine while dancing along to my latest Spotify playlist and sipping on a cup of hot tea. I'm an award-winning, published wedding photographer that is obsessed with all things classic and elegant. I'm a former California girl, but a true Midwesterner at heart. I love warm hugs, live music and getting texts from my brides that they cried when they saw their wedding photos!! I live for mornings on my yoga mat and green juice after. Among friends, I'm known for never missing an episode of The Bachelor on Monday nights, overusing exclamation points, and disliking coffee (but loving coffee shops)!
