Kennedy & Dakota were married on the 2nd Saturday in November surrounded by all of their family & friends during a beautiful Garden Theater wedding in Detroit. Kennedy’s grandma, mom & sister were on hand to help her get her into her stunning lace cutout dress and tears fell from her mother’s eyes as she buttoned her daughter into the dress. It was such a sweet moment with her sister drying her mom’s eyes & her grandma even teared up during Kennedy’s bridal portraits! Downstairs, Dakota was waiting for her on the sidewalk for their first look. He had the cutest reaction to seeing her & he was wiping away tears as well as he looked at his bride. We headed down Woodward to take portraits and these two were rockstars in the cold for almost 2 hours as we took all of their photos (including family & their sweet pup) before the ceremony, so they could enjoy cocktail hour with their guests once they were pronounced husband and wife!!
Kennedy’s mom walked her down the aisle as tears fell to a waiting Dakota who was also wiping tears out of his eyes. Their ceremony was beautiful with so many emotional moments mixed in. One of my favorite parts of the wedding day was at the reception and getting to hear all of the sweet things their family said about them during the toasts. There were ore laughs & more tears, but the biggest laughs of the night came when Kennedy danced with her little brother and in the middle broke out into a choreographed dance and when Dakota & his groomsmen took to the stage in the Garden Theater & performed a choreographed dance for his bride to My Girl as Kennedy clapped in the crowd with a smile on her face!
Kennedy & Dakota, it has been a pleasure getting to know you & your families and capture your wedding day! I hope looking at all of these photos brings you right back to this day & those moments you shared together! Wishing you lots of happiness always! Much love, Jen. xx
