I’m so excited to share another Lovett Hall wedding on the blog today! Tina & Todd were married earlier this month in a beautiful ceremony in the foyer of Lovett Hall that incorporated Tina’s Persian heritage.
The day started at the Dearborn Inn where Tina and her girls got their hair and make-up down. Tina chose to have only her sisters as her bridesmaids, but invited all of her best girl friends, who also participated in the Persian ceremony) to get all done up with her in the morning to celebrate the day ahead! Then it was over to Lovett Hall to finish getting ready and meet Todd on the staircase at The Henry Ford Museum for their first look. I just love how romantic of a first look spot it is, with Todd waiting at the top of the staircase landing in the 2 story open stairwell with the grand chandelier and then Tina climbing the stairs up to him to meet him. It seriously is like a scene out of a movie overtime I watch it happen! Todd had a wonderous smile on his face when he turned around and saw Tina! I swear, the emotion grooms show at the first look is usually so much more than when the bride walks down the aisle, and I love it so much!!
Tina & Todd rented a Model T to drive them around the Greenfield Village grounds and it was so cool driving in the car with them & seeing everyone’s excited reactions as they realized that a bride & groom were going by in the classic car. We stopped at a few spots in the village for photographs before heading back to Lovett Hall for the ceremony. Tina descended the beautiful staircase in Lovett Hall solo and he dad was waiting for it at the end of it to escort her down the aisle to where Todd was waiting. One of Tina’s friends served as the officiant and Tina’s sisters helped perform some of the traditional Persian wedding ceremony rituals, including the sugar rubbing, which showers the new couples life in sweetness. Once they were pronounced husband and wife, everyone headed upstairs to the ballroom for toasts, dinner and dancing and the party began!
Tina & Todd, thank you for welcoming me into your family for the day! I had so much fun spending teh day with the both of you and seeing just how much the two of you love each other!
