Ashley & Max’s wedding this past Saturday was pure magic! Not only was Ashley a stunning bride, but she has a heart of gold and that was so evident in the way her family & friends spoke of her throughout the day and especially during toasts! As I was leaving, she told me that I was the one that made her wedding day absolutely perfect and hearing that caused me to tear up. I know I say this all the time, but I’m so thankful for photography bringing all of these kind, wonderful human beings into my life!
Ashley & Max met in college. Ashley and her friends were hanging out one summer night and couldn’t figure out how to play a certain game. Ashley’s friend had a friend on campus that she called to come over and show them how to play it. That friend was Max. After a fun night of games, they all decided to meet up for breakfast in the morning. At breakfast the next day, Ashley’s friend took a group photo and nudged Ashley and Max next to each other. She later cropped everyone else out and sent the photo to both Ashley and Max saying they would make a cute couple. Max asked Ashley out and the rest was history.
The wedding date Ashley & Max’s chose, April 21st, holds a special significance on Max’s side of the family since it’s also his grandparent’s wedding anniversary! They honored them at their reception and shared a special anniversary dance with them!
One of my favorites parts of Ashley & Max’s wedding was their exit from the church. After all of their guests filed out, Ashley & Max exited down the front steps as their guests cheered & blew bubbles! I mean, what better way to celebrate being married than exiting the church to the cheers of your friends and family!! It was such a fun moment and I just love how happy they both look! Ashley was such a joyous bride & you could truly tell just how in love with Max she was!
Another one of my favorite moments was Ashley’s first look with her grandpa. Her dad past away last year, so her grandpa stepped in to walk her down the aisle as she has always had a very close relationship with him. She wanted to capture him seeing her for the first time and it was such a sweet moment between them.
Ashley & Max, I’m so thankful for meeting you both and being welcomed into your family for the day! I hope you love & cherish these photographs for a lifetime! Much love, Jen. xx
