If Shelly looks familiar, it’s because I photographed her sister Jessica’s engagement photos in September! After I took Jessica’s photos, Shelly emailed me to see if I was available to take engagement photos for her & Joe too!! I had so much fun getting to know the both of them & think it’s so fun for them that they’re engaged & wedding planning at the same time! Shelly & Joe are the sweetest couple and so, so kind! We started their session on the city streets of Detroit & then headed up to my favorite rooftop spot so they could grab a drink with the best view of the city behind them!! Shelly had a beautiful bouquet of flowers she brought for the session & then a single long stemmed red rose from Joe when they headed up to the roof!! We were joking that the rooftop drinks spot felt like a set up from one of the Bachelor dates – a beautiful location, drinks, a couple in love, a single rose and a camera crew (me!)!! I had a blast laughing with these two as I captured their engagement photos and we had a perfect night in Detroit for them!
