Olompia & Alex were married last month surrounded by all of their family and friends! These two met at the very same church where they got married at (how cool is that) and they are just about the cutest couple ever!! One of my favorite parts of the wedding day morning was when Olompia’s flower girl saw Olompia’s Milla Nova dress from Joy Abendmode Bridal on the dress form and started playing with the tulle skirt. Her eyes got so big and you could tell how excited she was to see a wedding dress up close!! Olompia’s mom and Maid of Honor, who is also now her sister-in-law, zipped her up into her dress before she read a sweet note from Alex! Olompia’s father had passed away and it was important for her to have a photo with his photo on her wedding day and I think it was so special that she took the time to incorporate him and that touching moment into her wedding day. Before long, all of Alex’s family arrived to where Olompia was to sing & dance and escort Olompia off to the church!!
Olompia’s uncle walked her down the aisle to a waiting Alex and after a beautiful Antiochian Orthodox ceremony, it was time to celebrate!! When the new Mr & Mrs. were announced into the reception (complete with a sparkler welcome), everyone joined them on the dance floor right away for one big dance party! It was so fun at the reception seeing dollar bills flying in the air as everyone danced and the groomsmen lifted Alex & Olympia up on their shoulders and raised them up and down! There were drummers and the dance floor was wall to wall people! It was such a crazy, fun celebration of these two and their love! Their parents even got into the fun throughout the night & were having the time of their lives being raised up & down in the air as everyone danced and cheered around them!!! There were several speeches given by members of Alex & Olompia’s family before dinner & Alex’s brother had the entire room laughing as he delivered a hilarious speech!!
