Lauren & James were married at the end of July along the shore in Point Pleasant Beach, New Jersey! The morning started at a gorgeous beach house (with the most beautiful front doors) that Lauren’s family was staying in. After hair and makeup-up were finished, Lauren’s mom and her new sister-in-law helped her into her gorgeous lace dress with a sweetheart neckline while her sister helped her into her heels and James’s mom helped her with her jewelry. Once she was dressed, her dad came up for a first look with his daughter before the two of them got into a white vintage Bentley for the short ride to the church. Across town, James’s dad helped him get dressed, getting him into his vest & jacket before the two of them made the short stroll on foot to the church.
After a gorgeous ceremony, their guests cheered as Lauren & James made their exit in their vintage Bentley and we headed over to the waterfront outside of Clarks Landing for portraits! If you know me, you know two of the things I love in the wedding world are brides in cathedral length veils & classic cars on the wedding day and this combination did not disappoint with these two!! Although I think some of my favorite portraits of the day are from when I snuck out with James & Lauren for sunset & we had the prettiest golden glowy light on the water. It was a fun moment for them to to take a second together outside of the party and reflect on the day & that they were actually married!!!
Lauren & James, thank you so much for trusting me to be the one to capture these memories for you & tell the story of your wedding day! I’ve had so much fun getting to know you both over the past year, from your amazing engagement session in Morristown, to listening to the awesome band at the Laundromat afterwards, to celebrating your shore wedding!! I hope you love & cherish these photos in the years to come! Much love, Jen. xx
