I’ve been waiting to share Angie & Cameron’s Lovett Hall wedding with Katie Gregg Events for what feels like MONTHS and I’m so freaking excited for you all to see it today!!! I think everyone knows at this point that Lovett Hall weddings are one of my favorite things in the world and this one did not disappoint!!
The morning of the wedding started at the Henry in Dearborn where Angie & Cam got ready. Angie’s Maids of Honor helped zip her into her fitted lace overlay Floravere gown before her & Cam’s puppy stopped by to greet his mom! The suite Angie had at the Henry was absolutely stunning with large white walls & the prettiest wood herringbone flooring and it made for such beautiful bridal portraits. Once Angie was ready, she headed up to the roof of the Henry for her first look with Cam with the Detroit Skyline in the distance. It was super windy on the roof and Angie’s veil came out a few times, but it made for such beautiful portraits as it danced in the wind!
After portraits all around the Henry Ford Museum, including their iconic blue two story staircase, it was time to head over to Lovett Hall to get these two married! One of my favorite moments of their ceremony was when Angie was coming down the aisle with her dad. Everyone was looking at her, but Cam’s mom stayed looking at him, witnessing her son’s reaction to seeing his bride walk down the aisle. It was such a sweet, tear-filled moment! After they exchanged vows & rings, guests headed up to cocktail hour where they sipped on the couple’s signature drinks, French 75’s & Manhattan’s, and were surprised with cocktail napkins adorned with the couple’s pup!
Katie Gregg Events & Studio Terrain transformed the reception area of their chic black tie wedding into a sleek space fit for a city couple (these two call Chicago home). Long tables were adorned with strands of greenery running down the center with long tapered black candles woven in and round tables had sprawling florals arrangements lifted up on geometric gold risers. Due to the early sunset time, the room took on a golden glow with all of the candlelight & dimmed chandeliers. Once guests were escorted in, Angie & Cam had a New York style wedding reception where the Blue Water Kings got everyone out on the dance floor for dancing before toasts & dinner began. It’s such a fun way to kick off the party and it’s awesome to see everyone on the dance floor having fun & setting the tone for the rest of the night!
Angie & Cam, from your beautiful Field Museum Engagement Photos in Chicago, to your Lovett Hall wedding in Dearborn, it has been such a pleasure getting to know you both! I hope you absolutely love these photos & hold them close in the decades to come! Wishing you two all of the best in the world! Much love, Jen. xx
