I first met Tiffany one summer during college. She was in the same sorority at Michigan State as one of my best friends. From laying out by the pool, to Red Wings games, we all had a blast together. Tiffany has such a kind and gentle soul and we have so much in common, especially our love for yoga and green juice! I was so excited when she reached out to me to photograph her wedding after Tony proposed to her! Tiffany and Tony were married a little over a week ago and start to finish, their day was beautiful!!
The morning of her wedding when I walked into her house to capture her getting ready, her mom gave me a massive hug and thanked me for being there to capture Tiffany’s day! Her mom is such a sweet and caring woman, just like Tiffany, and made me feel appreciated and welcomed in from the very first minute I arrived! There was such a fun and joyous energy buzzing in the air as all of the girls had their hair and make-up done. When it was time for Tiffany to get into her dress, her Maid of Honor, Sarah, helped button up the back of her stunning gown from Elizabeth’s Bridal Manor. During bridal portraits, I think I told Tiffany about a million times how stunning she looked! Once the veil was secured and her perfume was sprayed, it was time to head off to the first look! It was adorable when Tiffany snuck up behind Tony and covered his eyes before he turned around to see his beautiful fiancé for the first time in her wedding dress! Tiffany also did a first look with her dad and it was one of my favorite moments of the day! Her and her dad both teared up and it was such a sweet moment to witness. After venturing around and capturing almost all of their photographs beforehand (including family photos!!), it was time for them to officially get married!
Tony’s cousin married them in a beautiful, historic white chapel and the place was packed to the brim with all of the people that they love. Tiffany walked down the aisle to a harpist playing a beautiful melody and the stunning train on her dress floated behind her. After they were pronounced husband and wife, they exited to their bridal party tossing rose petals and after a few additional photos, it was time to head over to Meeting House Grand Ballroom to get the party started! After a beautiful speech by Tiffany’s dad that made everyone cry, Tiffany’s Maid of Honor gave a sweet speech about her best friend recounting how she knew Tony was Tiffany’s forever. Tony’s Best Man, his brother, gave a hilarious speech about how he did everything that Tony did growing up, except for one thing, and he had the crowd roaring! After dinner was served and the cake was cut (which was gluten free, by the way, and from my favorite bakery ever, Rumi’s in Northville) the party got started and these two and their friends danced all night long! Tiffany even sent me home with a to-go box of cake as well since I was so excited that it was gluten free and it was so thoughtful of her!
Tiffany & Tony, I’m so honored that you trusted me to capture this very special day for the two of you! I had a blast standing by your side and documenting the detail and emotion of your day for you so you don’t forget a single thing! I hope you love and cherish these photos for generations to come. Much love, Jen. xx
