Happy Friday friends!! It’s time for one of my favorite posts of the year… BEST OF WEDDINGS! I thoroughly enjoyed spending the day (and I mean, it took the ENTIRE day) yesterday going back through all of my weddings from the year & reliving each day with my wonderful couples! From their initial email, to meeting for the first time, the engagement session, following their life on social media and then finally the wedding day, I truly feel like all of my couples are friends by the time their wedding rolls around and it definitely shows with how comfortable and relaxed they are able to get in front of my camera! It’s always so sad to say goodbye at the end of the wedding night, but I loved getting to go back and experience each one! It was so hard narrowing down my favorites, because every wedding had gorgeous images I was proud of, but I was able to get it down to a manageable number of my favorite photographs from each day!
This year I got to photograph at some new to me venues that had been on my dream list since I started my business, like Lovett Hall (I have 6 weddings so far for 2018 here, so expect more chandelier & epic staircase photos this year!!), The Dearborn Inn, Planterra, The University of Michigan Museum of Art & a wedding on the Infiniti Yacht, sailing the Detroit River! I also photographed more weddings at some of my favorite venues including Colony Club, The Inn at St. Johns, Meadowbrook & Meeting House Grand Ballroom. I didn’t travel as much this year, with all my weddings taking place in Chicago, Detroit or on Lake Michigan, but I’m so excited for a bunch more out of state (& country) weddings in 2018.
