I was so excited when Markie reached out to me last year about photographing her wedding day! Markie was a bridesmaid in Laura & Daniel’s wedding two years ago in Downtown Cleveland and her and Josh were getting married just outside the city at Mapleside Farms. I photographed a wedding there earlier this year (for Laura’s sister-in-law and new brother-in-law, Hannah & Blake) and was so excited to head back down there again! Markie wore the most beautiful champagne lace wedding dress and the long train on her dress was stunning. She wore Laura’s veil as something borrowed and I thought that was such a cute idea to bond friends. Her dress fit her like a glove and when Josh saw her for the first time, his eyes welled up as her gave her a great big hug and buried his face in her neck. Their venue overlooked the most beautiful valley and the view from the top was just stunning. The sun was very bright and high in the sky and it made the valley below almost sparkle in their photos.
There was so much emotion on Markie & Josh’s wedding day and it was so obvious how happy their friends and family were to be celebrating their marriage! Markie’s mom teared up as soon as she helped Markie into her dress and again as she was walking down the aisle. Markie’s sister and maid of honor was also blotting back tears after seeing her walking down the aisle with her dad and again during the toasts. Josh also got emotional during his brother’s best man speech and it was so sweet to see how special their bond is. It was so evident just how in love Markie & Josh when we were taking portraits and how much fun they were having together!
Markie & Josh, thank you so much for trusting me to capture your special day! It was so great seeing you again and getting to witness you both becoming husband & wife. I hope you love & cherish these photographs for decades to come! Wishing you both a lifetime of love! Much love, Jen. xx
