Nicole & James were married last month with a beautiful Inn at St. John’s wedding! This wedding was also a fun one for me because not only were there 3 Jennifer Boris Photography brides there (past, present & future), but my cousin was a guest at the wedding as well!! The morning started in the presidential suite at the Inn at St. John’s and even though it was raining outside, everyone’s spirits were high as hair & makeup was happening!! Nicole is an incredible graphic designer and like one of my recent brides Nancy, she designed her invitation suite herself and it’s so beautiful!! So future brides, if you need a gal for your bespoke invitations, I’m happy to put you in touch with these talented ladies!!
When it was time to get the dress on, Nicole’s grandma and mom zipped her up into the beautiful lace gown she chose before she shared an emotional first look wit her dad and headed out to see her groom! Nicole met James in the all glass arch hallway at the Inn at St. John’s and when he turned around to see his bride, he had the biggest smile on his face!! We had about a 10 minute break in the rain and ran out to capture some photos before it started coming down again! Nicole & James were game to get a little wet and take some romantic photos under the same umbrella and those are always my fav on a rainy wedding day!!
They were married in the chapel at the Inn at St John’s and Nicole’s dad walked her down the long aisle past all of her family & friends watching to a waiting James who was wiping away tears by the time she reached him! Seeing the groom’s reaction on the wedding day is one of my favorite things ever and even with a first look, those emotions still happen once their beautiful bride walks down that aisle towards them!! After they exchanged rings and were pronounced husband and wife, the party got started and we snuck out for one more set of photos since the rain had stopped! Nicole’s Maid of Honor gave such a sweet speech complete with an actual book (!!!!) she made for Nicole at the reception and James’s brother also toasted the happy couple! One of my favorite moments of the whole day came during parent dances. While Nicole was dancing with her dad, her mom was wiping back tears as she watched her daughter & husband dance from across the room. While James danced with his mom, his dad stood on the edge of the dance floor looking emotional while he took a quick photo on his phone as he watched his wife dance with his son! Once the dance party got started and the floor was packed, Nicole & James surprised their guests with a flash mob that Nicole put on with her Zumba friends and glow sticks & everyone danced the night away covered in neon!!
James & Nicole, thank you so much for allowing me to capture your wedding day and trusting me to preserve these moments for the two of you!!
